Pleasanton, CA -- September 14, 2004 -- AllMed Systems, Inc. announced that LISA laser products has introduced a 15 watt Continuous Wave 2micron surgical laser. This laser is approved for cutting, ablation and coagulation of soft tissue in ENT, OBGYN, Gastroenterology, Urology, Pulmonary and General Surgery. Many in-office procedures can be easily performed.

The RevoLix Jr. will debute at the American Association of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Foundation annual meeting in New York, booth 2245, September 2004.

The RevoLix Jr. laser is manufactured by LISA laser products OHG of Katlenburg-Lindau Germany. LISA laser products is renowned for its range of Holmium and Diode lasers that are used throughout the world. "For a long time scientists have been looking fr a fiber delivery material for the carbon dioxide laser. Well, we have gone one better, LISA laser has designed a laser that has superior performance to the carbon dioxide laser and can be delivered through conventional and reusable fibers," commented Dr. Heinrich Teichmann, Managing Director of LISA laser products OHG.

The RevoLix Jr. is part of a family of 2micron lasers that range in power from 15 watts to 50 watts. Unlike many other lasers, the RevoLix offers a full range of reusable fibers from 200 to 1000 microns that can be sterilized and reused many times, which creates substantial cost savings for the user.

LISA laser has utilized unique technology to develop RevoLix, a Continuous Wave 2micron laser which is the first innovation in surgical lasers in almost 10 years. RevoLix is the only CW 2micron laser in the world that has been approved for medical procedures in the U.S. market and it overcomes many of the problems associated with pulsed lasers when being used for ablation and incision of soft tissue. Visualization is vastly improved because of the lack of the "bubble effect", lower laser powers are needed to produce a smoother incision with much less trauma to surrounding structures. "I believe that we will see many new surgical applications gaining FDA approval for the RevoLix over the course of the next year," said Dr. Teichmann. "It is already being used in Europe for Neurosurgery and many other endoscopic procedures."

AllMed Systems, Inc. is the exclusive distributor for LISA laser products in the U.S. and is responsible for sales, marketing and service.

AllMed Systems, Inc., dedicated to supplying the best technology for medicine.
